Bye Bye Whoopi: “The View” Host Whoopi Goldberg Suffers Mental Breakdown Over Elon Musk Owning Twitter

Is anyone upset that Whoopi Goldberg and other celebrities are taking their ball and going home?
As celebrities continue to announce their departure from Twitter, it’s more and more apparent that they don’t like the new rules.
Allowing voices that they don’t like on the platform has made it an “unsafe place” and “a cesspool of hate” according to their “I’m leaving Twitter” posts.
On Monday’s episode of ABC’s The View, one of the hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, offered her opinion, calling Twitter “a mess” since billionaire Elon Musk became the owner of the social media platform.
She said, “So it has been a little over a week since Elon Musk took over Twitter and the place, it’s a mess… He also suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating him on a parody account, which has started a FreeKathy hashtag to trend. I’m — I’m getting off. I’m getting off today because I just feel like, you know, it’s so messy.”
She’s not fond of the “attitudes” that have been allowed back on the site.
Whoopi may not know that she herself can block things or accounts she doesn’t want to see.
Goldberg clarified her position saying that she’s going to wait and see if things simmer down and get better eventually. “I’m going to get out, and if it settles down and I feel more comfortable, maybe I’ll come back. But as of tonight, I’m done with Twitter,” she said.
Goldberg did not tweet very often but before deleting her account, she had 1.6 million followers.
Her co-host on The View, Sunny Hostin added that a lot of Twitter users had the same feelings since the Musk take over.
Hostin said, “You’ve got this Elon Musk turning it into something that it was never intended to be. It’s going to be the public square. Well I don’t want to be part of that public square, but I also don’t want to miss the valuable information that can be put on there.”
It sounds like she’s in a pickle. She doesn’t want to miss valuable information, but she also doesn’t want to hear anything that might expose her to an opposing view.
Co-host Ana Navarro didn’t want to be outdone and offered her hot take. She blames Musk for starting “drama” on the platform.
“As far as Elon Musk, I don’t even understand how this guy can run Twitter when he can’t even get himself off Twitter. He is there causing drama on a daily basis. He’s tweeting and tweeting and tweeting and getting into fights. It’s insane,” she said.
The ladies on The View don’t like to have anyone they can’t influence in a position of power. The Left controls almost every social media platform, academia, the Senate, the House, and the presidency.
The meltdown over Elon Musk’s attempt to even the playing field on Twitter is something to witness. They know their ideas are terrible and that’s why they are afraid to engage in debate.
