Former President Donald Trump attacked the current Democratic leadership in Washington, claiming the country is being governed by “deranged groupings of fanatics,” during a rally in Ohio Saturday evening to boost J.D. Vance’s U.S. Senate race, which he openly endorsed a week ago.

“We’re standing up against some of the most threatening forces, entrenched interests, and ferocious opponents our people have ever faced or battled against in this time together,” Trump said during the event in Delaware. “Despite vast external forces and threats, the ill, dangerous, and terrible people within our own country remain our greatest menace.”

“No threat to democracy is more serious than they are.” “Just look at the un-select committee of political hacks and what they’re doing to our country while radical-left murderers, rapists, and insurrectionists roam free: Nothing happens to them,” he said, presumably referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Select Committee, which was formed on Jan. 6 to ostensibly investigate the origins of the Capitol riot.

“However, no matter how large or powerful these corrupt extremists get, they must never forget that this country is not theirs.” You are the sole owner of this country. This is your residence. This is your legacy, and you have a God-given right to magnificent American liberty.”

After that, the former president focused on Biden’s recent mental difficulties and embarrassing situations. “Unfortunately, we have a president right now that has no idea what the heck is going on,” Trump stated. “He’s shaking the air with his hands.” He’s wandering around, a little perplexed.”

He then alluded to an event a week earlier on Easter Sunday, when a dressed-up Easter Bunny, who turned out to be White House Director of Message Planning Meghan Hays, steered Biden away from discussing Pakistan and Afghanistan with reporters. “It’s no good, and he’s following the Easter Bunny’s directions,” Trump added. “Did you see that one?”

“The Easter Bunny was a political operator, you know.” Actually, the guy did a good job. That’s someone we should recruit. He was excellent. ‘No, no, don’t talk, don’t talk; don’t talk to those individuals,’ he added, according to Trump. “And [Biden] does all of this while [Russian President Vladimir] Putin talks about nuclear weapons and killing the planet.”

In our nation, our signals are quite jumbled. “This is the first time we’ve ever had a scenario like this,” Trump continued. He also slammed the Biden administration’s “energy war,” referring to Biden’s alleged anti-fossil fuel policies, which many have blamed for a year of rising oil and gas prices.

“Our country is being run by a deranged group of extremists — the treacherous crusade against American energy and Ohio energy,” Trump said, adding that, while the White House has blamed rising prices and inflation on a “Putin Price Hike,” Americans did not face as much economic hardship during his administration.

“There was almost no inflation,” Trump claimed. “They’ve had the biggest inflation in 47 years, and it’s just getting worse, costing them $6,000 a year.” That’s more than any tax hike that has ever been suggested.

“And speaking of tax rises, we lowered taxes more than any president in American history: largest biggest tax cut in our country’s history,” he added of a tax reform package he signed. “And they plan to impose the highest tax increase in our country’s history so they can implement the Green New Deal and squander a lot of your money.”

The concept was conceived by people who had no prior knowledge of the surroundings. He went on to say, “This is simply one of many scams.” In other polls, Trump’s backing of Vance propelled him from near the bottom of a crowded field of GOP candidates for retiring Sen. Rob Portman’s (R) seat to the top.
