BREAKING: Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas Has Just Been Hospitalized With An Infection

Just recently, one of the country’s highest courts, the United States Supreme Court, had one of its judges, Clarence Thomas, hospitalized.

Clarence Thomas was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., on Friday evening after experiencing flu-like symptoms.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson Patricia McCabe in an official statement. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas “was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., on Friday evening after experiencing flu-like symptoms,” the court’s public information office said Sunday evening.

McCabe stated that following testing, he was diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics.

She did not elaborate on the nature of the infection. According to the court’s press statement, “he underwent testing, was diagnosed with an illness, and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics.”

“His symptoms have subsided, he is sleeping peacefully, and he expects to be discharged from the hospital within a day or two. On the basis of the briefs, transcripts, and audio of the oral arguments, Justice Thomas will participate in the analysis and debate of any cases in which he is not present.” said the official statement.

At 73 years old, Thomas is the Supreme Court’s second-oldest justice behind Justice Stephen Breyer. He is the conservative with the highest seniority.

Thomas has no known medical history and has been an active participant in Court discussions for the previous two years.

According to the Court, he and the other eight justices have been vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19. The Court will reconvene on Monday at 10 a.m. to hear oral arguments for two weeks.

According to McCabe’s statement, Thomas will not be present for the arguments but will nonetheless vote in the cases.
