In a move that has stunned conservative podcast host Dan Bongino in the middle of his live show Monday morning, Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News.
Bongino’s reaction is representative of how most Americans viewed the news based on the response on Twitter.
“Carlson’s show was frequently the top-rated show on cable news, often surpassing 4.5 million viewers per episode.
“The show premiered in November 2016, and took over the coveted 8 pm EST time slot in 2017,” according to The Post Millennial.
“The decision to part ways with Carlson comes less than a week after the broadcaster and Dominion Voting Systems reached a $787 million settlement. Carlson’s show was not a main focus of Dominion’s lawsuit,” The Post Millennial report continues.
The Fox News Network issued a statement announcing, “Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st.
“Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
“FOX News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, the direct-to-consumer streaming services FOX Nation and FOX News International, and the free ad-supported television service FOX Weather.
“Currently the number one network in all of cable, FNC has also been the most watched television news channel for more than 21 consecutive years, while FBN ranks among the top business channels on cable. Owned by Fox Corporation, FOX News Media reaches nearly 200 million people each month.”
It’s anyone’s guess at what happened between the network and its number one talent, but the left-leaning NPR News put out a headline that stated that Fox News fired Carlson.
It read, “Fox News fires Tucker Carlson one week after settling Dominion Lawsuit.” The headline has since been updated witnessed by clicking on the link.
Was he fired? He may have been, but it doesn’t look like NPR has confirmation of that.
It appears though that the separation was not on the radar before what would be Carlson’s last show on Friday.
Business Insider reported, “The Fox News host seemed to have no idea Friday would be his last time helming ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’
“His final words on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ before digging into another bite of pizza were: ‘We’ll be back on Monday. In the meantime, have the best weekend with the ones that you love, and we’ll see you then.'”
Let the conspiracy theories begin.
Popular conservative Twitter and Instagram influencer, DC Draino, posted a recent clip of Carlson on the Full Send Podcast.
Carlson discussed the control of the media by “powerful people who run the world.”
He said that the media is not to be trusted and regrets being a part of the propaganda machine for so many years.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. tweeted about Carlson’s April 19th monologue where he called out “greedy Pharma advertisers” for their control over the news content.
He ended his tweet with “Fox just demonstrated the terrifying power of Big Pharma.”
What is the real reason the man with the nation’s biggest audience is out? We can only speculate right now.
