Kari Lake has proven that she will not go quietly or gently into that good night. Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake’s campaign has sued Maricopa County and its election officials after she lost a close election. Lake is demanding county officials respond to the campaign’s public records requests before the county certifies its vote canvass on Monday. So, there have been some recent developments in the seemingly never ending saga,

In fact, it has just recently been reported by the Associated Press that:

Kari Lake, the defeated Republican candidate for Arizona governor, has filed a public records lawsuit demanding Maricopa County hand over a variety of documents related to the election.

Lake has refused to acknowledge that she lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs and has for weeks drawn attention to voters who said they experienced long lines and other difficulties while voting on Election Day in Arizona’s largest county.

Her lawyer, Tim LaSota, says in the suit filed Wednesday that the county has not fulfilled public records requests filed on Nov. 15 and 16. The requests seek to identify voters who may have had trouble casting a ballot, such as people who checked in at more than one vote center or those who returned a mail ballot and also checked in at a polling place.

The Associated Press went on to report that:

Lake is also asking for information about counted and uncounted ballots that were accidentally mixed. County officials have acknowledged the problem occurred at a handful of vote centers but say it happens in most elections and can be reconciled.

Lake and her allies have bombarded Maricopa County with complaints about Election Day problems, which stem largely from a problem with printers at some vote centers that led them to print ballots with markings that were too light to be read by the on-site tabulators. All ballots were counted, but Lake says some of her supporters may have been unable to cast a ballot amid the chaos.

It was further reported by The Hill that:

In a response to a letter from the Arizona attorney general’s office demanding further information on the issue, county officials on Sunday provided the most detailed data to date, showing that thousands of affected voters still cast ballots that were tabulated.

“Our response is available for the public to read in its entirety and details how Maricopa County followed state and federal laws to ensure every voter was provided the opportunity to cast a ballot,” Board of Supervisors Chair Bill Gates (R) said in a statement.

The Hill went on to report that:

Gates vowed to certify Maricopa’s vote canvass by Monday’s statutory deadline, defying the Lake campaign, who has publicly called for a delay and suggested in court the issues meet the legal threshold for doing so.

Meanwhile, Arizona Republican attorney general candidate Abraham Hamadeh formally contested his election result last week over the issues. Hamadeh trails his Democratic rival by 510 votes ahead of an expected recount.

The Hill has reached out to Lake campaign and Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s (R) office for comment.

The criticisms are rooted in malfunctions with printers at some of Maricopa’s vote centers, which printed ballots too light for tabulators to read.

So, Kari Lake is continuing to make waves in the press and in the courts. In fact, The Raging Patriot reported back at the beginning of this month that the FBI has been called Saturday after a white powdery substance was found in the campaign office.

It was reported by Cedar News that: FBI and police were in Lake’s offices from 10 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday
An employee received two envelopes with a suspicious white powder
There were also threatening messages that the campaign considers an ‘attack’
A hazmat team and an explosives disposal service also responded to the Phoenix scene
Lake is in a tight race in Arizona with her Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs
Last week, Hobbs suggested Lake was partially responsible for a break-in at her campaign headquarters.
