The GOP nominee for Arizona Governor, Kari Lake, who is currently fighting an election fraud battle against Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs, stated former U.S. President Donald Trump’s indictment by a New York grand jury.

Just minutes after Trump’s indictment news came to the surface, Lake tweeted:

“This is a dark moment in the history of our Nation. The Radical Left and their weaponized criminal justice system have crossed all legal & ethical lines in an attempt to destroy the 45th & 47th President of the United State of America Donald J. Trump. It only makes him stronger.”

Ten minutes later, her PR team’s Twitter account, “Kari Lake War Room” also tweeted:

“America’s transformation into a Banana Republic is nearly complete. The radical left has defiled our legal system, shattered every institutional norm, in an effort to destroy the undisputed leader of the GOP. We stand with @realDonaldTrump against this perversion of Justice.”

Currently, Lake is fighting a legal battle over the election results in the Supreme Court of Arizona, which has currently ruled that the signature verification process and its implementation in Maricopa County should be reviewed.

On Thursday night, the GOP Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, declared that his state, Florida, will not comply with an appeal for Donald Trump’s extradition after the news of his indictment broke.

DeSantis took to Twitter to express his disappointment in the legal system.

He wrote:

“The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. It is un-American.”

The Republican Governor added:

“The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent.”

He concluded:

“Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.”

The case for Trump’s extradition will only rise if he decides to stay at Mar-a-Lago and skip the arraignment hearing in New York
