One person who has been somewhat out of the news lately is the House Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy. He has stayed fairly out of the spotlight of late as stories of Twitter pervades the airwaves.

Now, he has broken his silence and is speaking out. He is laying out his argument for the impeachment of President Joe Biden. It was during an appearance on CNN that McCarthy put all of his cards on the proverbial table.

It has just been reported by Mediaite that:

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) hedged when asked if he would spearhead his fellow Republicans in impeaching President Joe Biden if the GOP sweeps the midterm elections.

McCarthy spoke with CNN’s Melanie Zanona as he outlined the various tenets of the Republican Party’s “Commitment to America” platform if they take back control of the House.

At one point in the interview, McCarthy was asked if his pledge for investigations meant that impeachment is “on the table.”

McCarthy answered by deflecting to the need for greater accountability on the origins of Covid, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and other subjects.

Mediaite went on to report that:

“Shouldn’t we know where the taxpayers’ money is being spent?” He said. “I call that accountability. That’s a responsibility for congress regardless of whose ever party is in the White House.”

Zanona followed up by asking what he says to his Republican colleagues who are demanding Biden’s impeachment already. He answered by declining to rule out the possibility, though he appeared less gung-ho about the idea than other Republicans.

It was further reported by USA Today that:

The midterm elections will determine control of Congress and with it the fate of President Joe Biden’s agenda.

Democrats are unlikely to retain control of both the House and Senate, analysts and experts project. With Republicans well-positioned to take control of at least the House, Biden is likely to face roadblocks as he finishes the last two years of his term.

The degree to which Republicans can stall Biden’s agenda depends on their margins of victory after Tuesday’s elections. Here’s what could happen if the GOP wrests back at least some control of Washington.

It was further reported by USA Today that:

When Democrats took control of the House as part of the 2018 blue wave, they started a flurry of investigations into then-President Donald Trump’s administration and his business dealings, including probes of his tax returns and later, the role he played in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

Republicans have been itching to do the same. If they get control of the House next year, expect a lot of investigations into Biden’s programs and his son Hunter Biden’s financial dealings.

McCarthy has been gunning for Biden for some time. In some cases, he will justifiably use government agencies to get there. In fact, we reported back in August that McCarthy wanted the Republicans to investigate the DOJ.“I’ve seen enough. The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization.

When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned. Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar.” Follow The Raging Patriot for more on this exciting story as it develops.
