The GOP lawmaker from California and the current House Speaker, Kevin McCarthy has been defending Donald Trump as the reports of Trump’s possible arrest increase.
McCarthy lambasted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who would most probably abuse his powers to seek a politically influenced indictment of Donald Trump.

McCarthy wrote in a tweet:
“Here we go again – an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump.”
McCarthy is calling for probes into a federal fund to know if it is being used to execute any politically influenced limitations that might have the potential to interrupt the upcoming elections.
The GOP House Speaker, Kevin McCarthy stated:
“I’m directing relevant committees to immediately investigate if federal funds are being used to subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions.”
The suit has gathered a lot of political attraction as the Democrats will go to any extent just to hurt the Republicans.
Braggs seems to be powerless from a legal perspective and is now fronting problems in utilizing state laws to indict a federal lawsuit that has already been overruled by the Justice Department a couple of years ago.
In a post on his Truth Social account, the previous U.S. President, Donald Trump affirmed the reports and indicated that he might get arrested on coming Tuesday. Trump also grilled the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and blamed them for issuing “illegal leaks” and being “corrupt” and “highly political”
Fox News issued a report last Friday:
“We are learning that the Manhattan DA’s office has asked for a meeting with law enforcement ahead of a potential Trump indictment. This is coming to Fox News from a source in the courts. The meeting, which was requested yesterday and has not been set yet, is to discuss logistics for some time next week, which would mean that they are anticipating an indictment next week. The same source familiar with the planning said they will go over security preparations in and around the courthouse in lower Manhattan. Secret service will take the lead in what they will allow or will not allow.”
