It seems that the right wing end of the media is enjoying victory after victory. We reported just last week Kaylegh McEnany just decimated CNN and MSNBC in the ratings. Now, it seems her fellow Fox acolyte Maria Bartiromo is enjoying similar stratospheric success. Bartiromo has extended her lively winning streak for a third quarter. Her show, “Mornings with Maria”, is boasting an audience increase of over 24%. The business wing of Fox, aptly titled Fox Business, has seen double-digit audience growth over the course of the last year.

It is now being reported that:

Bartiromo’s critical three-hour pre-market program ‘Mornings with Maria’ had a huge increase in viewers in the A25-54 demo (+36%). She was up 24% percent in total viewers. And for the second consecutive quarter, Maria beat her CNBC counterpart Squawk Box.

Stuart Varney’s three-hour market-open program ‘Varney & Co.’ saw a 31% increase in viewers and ranked second in the top 10 business programs on television with 282,000 viewers. The program beat CNBC for the second consecutive quarter with viewers.

Fox Business had seven of the 15 most-watched business programs on television and delivered the highest-rated quarter since 2020 with viewers.

Additionally, the network’s total day iewership saw 133,000 total viewers, up 29% year-over-year. The network saw a 27% increase year-over-year with the key A25-54 demo.

During the critical Market Hours (9 AM-4 PM/ET), viewers grew by 32% (216,000 total viewers), outpacing CNBC for four straight months.

Fox News went on to report that:

FBN also scored eight of the top 20 most-affluent cable news programs with A25-54 for the quarter with The Claman Countdown taking first place with an average median income of $140,600.

Cavuto: Coast to Coast, Making Money with Charles Payne, Varney & Co., Wall Street Journal at Large with Gerry Baker (Fridays, 7:30-8 PM/ET), FOX Business Tonight, Kudlow and Mornings with Maria all had average median incomes of $118,900 or greater.

3Q’22 Business Day (9:30 AM-5 PM/ET):

CNBC: 188,000 P2+ and 37,000 A25-54

3Q’22 Market Hours (9 AM-4 PM/ET):

FBN: 216,000 P2+ and 20,000 A25-54

CNBC: 190,000 P2+ and 38,000 A25-54

The Wrap went on to report that:

“Sunday Morning Futures,” Fox News’ business- and policy-oriented Sunday morning show hosted by Maria Bartiromo, scored another ratings victory last year as the No. 1 weekend show in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic in all of cable news.

For all of 2019, “Sunday Morning Futures” averaged 261,000 viewers in that demographic, just ahead of Fox News’ “Watters’ World,” which averaged 259,000.

The show has also been the top show in all of cable Sunday at 10 a.m. ET for three consecutive years in total viewers. In 2019, it averaged 1.478 million viewers in the time slot — dwarfing rivals like MSNBC’s “AM Joy” (840,000 total viewers, 135,000 in the demo) and CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” (777,000 total viewers, 166,000 in the demo).

“The audience trusts the credibility of the program,” Bartiromo told TheWrap when discussing the ratings wins, noting she knows her audience demographics and has tried to create the show around that specific audience’s wants since she joined Fox’s networks in 2014.

Right-wing sentiment in the media and the accompanying empathy from its audience are definitely having an effect. We did indeed previously report that former White House staffer Kayleigh McEnany and her show “Outnumbered” surpassed every single show that appeared on both CNN and MSNBC. At the time we reported, Outnumbered” was ranked 18th among all cable original telecasts with an audience of roughly 1.9 million.Meanwhile, we have also reported on former CNN host and current actual egg, Brian Stelter and his unceremonious forced departure from CNN, courtesy of new CNN President Chris Licht.

Back in August, we reported on the absolute failure that was the launch of CNN’s streaming service, CNN+. At that time, we reported that CNN had to shut down their streaming service after they spent roughly $300 million on the failed streaming service.
