Trump also mentioned that if he comes back into power, he will make sure that this vital program is protected.
Trump stated: “We’re not cutting Social Security. It’s very simple. It’s a simple answer. We’re not cutting Social Security. We have to protect it. It’s a contract with the people. They go in. They work and they do.”
“They put their blood, sweat, and tears into Social Security, and then you have a guy like Paul Ryan or others that want to destroy it. We have a contract. There are plenty of places we can take from where it’s wasted.”
“Look at the Green New Deal nonsense. That’s many times Social Security, what they’re doing with the Green New Deal. That is like throwing money out the window. I’m all for the environment. I’m an environmentalist in the truest sense.”
“But the Green New Deal is like the Green New Hoax. It’s a hoax. Then when they talk about Social Security, they’re going to destroy Social Security so they can build more windmills all over the place that don’t work?”
“It’s not going to happen with me. They fell into the Democrat trap,” he stated about Republicans who were talking about slashing the program.
Trump also added:
“I heard that. A couple of guys were talking about it, and I said ‘that’s the end of his career.”
“But it isn’t a question of the career. It’s a contract with the people. They’ve paid. They’ve worked. They’re entitled to it. There are so many things we can cut that are far more money than we’re talking about. There are so many things. You don’t have to cut Social Security. I would never do it.”
Trump has also warned the Republicans regarding the Democrat’s abortion trap, which they have set up for the GOP.
“Now, I think a lot of Republicans didn’t handle the abortion question properly. I think if you don’t have the three exceptions (for rape, incest, and the life of the mother), it’s almost impossible in most parts of the country to win.
“If you don’t have three exceptions—I said to a very nice man running for governor of Pennsylvania, ‘If you don’t have the three exceptions, you can’t win.’
“Same thing with Tudor. She didn’t have the three exceptions. I say this to the Republican Party: If you don’t have the three exceptions, because you know the Democrats are radical and they’ll kill the baby at nine months or they’ll kill the baby after the baby is born. Okay? That’s more radical.”
“But, you know a 15 or 16 week period of time, but you have to have the three exceptions. If you don’t have the three exceptions, you’re destined to doom. Well, people need to be smart and you need people who believe in the right thing.”
“People do what they believe. If somebody really doesn’t believe in the exceptions, which I wouldn’t understand—rape, incest, the life of the mother, to me that’s pretty easy to believe in—but if somebody doesn’t believe in it then they have to follow their heart.”
“But I don’t think they’re capable of being elected other than in certain areas.”
Paul Ryan is the main mastermind behind the program which is aiming to cut Social Security. Ryan has presented this idea in the past as well, which caused irreversible damage to the GOP.
Ryan is one of the main editors of the Social Security cutting program, and this plan was released via the American Enterprise Institute, which is titled “American Renewal: A Conservative Plan to Strengthen the Social Contract and Save the Country’s Finances.”
In this book, several authors are arguing for “rethinking” Social Security. In response to the book, Trump claimed that Ryan is a loser and he has always been a loser.
