Breaking: Florida’s Republican Attorney General Demands Congress To Probe The Biden Administration For Treating Migrant Children Poorly
Republican Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is calling on Congress to investigate the Biden administration over alleged poor treatment of unaccompanied migrant children detained in the state after a grand jury accused the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of “complete abdication of repsonibility” for their welfare.
“A Florida Grand Jury found shocking and horrific evidence of the Biden administration facilitating human trafficking and child exploitation of unaccompanied minors. It should enrage everyone that any child is being exposed to such danger and terrible conditions,” Moody said in a statement.
“I’m calling on Congress to conduct hearings to further the investigation, and uncover the evidence that HHS refused to provide to Florida’s Statewide Grand Jury,” she added.
The grand jury was empaneled after a request by Governor Ron DeSantis last year. It concluded that HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is “facilitating the forced migration, sale, and abuse of foreign children, and some of our fellow Florida residents are (in some cases unwittingly) funding and incentivizing it for primarily economic reasons.”
Fox News shared:
The 46-page report was the latest report to come from the jury, which had already released two such reports on illegal immigration. The latest report focused specifically on the release of migrant children into the U.S. to sponsors.
In a Monday letter to Congressional leaders, including House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Moody detailed the “horrifying health conditions” the migrant children were exposed to, including sex trafficking, robbery, and rape.
She also argued congressional action was needed to “further investigate the Biden administration’s dealings with unaccompanied immigrant children.”
“The American people do not fully know what is going on at ORR since the Biden Administration took over, and…there is more to uncover,” she wrote.
In AG Moody’s news release, she said, “Biden’s willingness to hide evidence and lie to the American people about the border crisis he created is deeply concerning. The records we obtained through our aggressive litigation efforts prove the Biden administration knew—as early as eight days after taking office—its destructive immigration policies were creating a colossal public safety crisis. The evidence that we fought ferociously to obtain is damning for the Biden administration, and we will continue to use his administration’s own actions and words against them in an attempt to force the president to follow the law.”

Attorney General Moody’s legal team presented the evidence today in Florida’s case, No. 3:21-cv-1066 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. The messages are just one piece in a pile of bombshell evidence uncovered by Attorney General Moody’s legal team that includes depositions of DHS officials, memos dictating that USBP stand down in the event the border is overrun by migrants, and much more.

Biden’s immigration policies pose a threat to people in all 50 states as deadly drugs, illegal immigrants, criminals, and those on the terrorist watch list flood into the country. USBP encountered a record 2.76 million illegal immigrants during the federal fiscal year ending in September 2022. USBP encountered nearly 100 people on the terrorist watchlist in FY 2022, a 276% increase when compared to the past five years combined. Since February 2021, authorities seized nearly 25,000 pounds of illicit fentanyl, enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the U.S. more than 17 times over—as overdose deaths skyrocket past 100,000 a year.
