Breaking: FBI Director Christopher Wray Claims That COVID-19 Virus Was The Result Of A Lab Leak From Wuhan China

FBI Director Christopher Wray now says the COVID-19 pandemic was caused by a lab leak in Wuhan, China.
“The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan,” Wray told Fox News in an interview that aired Tuesday. “Here you are talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab.”
“I will just make the observation that the Chinese government, it seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here, the work that we’re doing, the work that our U.S. government and close foreign partners are doing. And that’s unfortunate for everybody,” he added.
Wray said the FBI has specialists who focus on “the dangers of biological threats, which include things like novel viruses like COVID, and the concerns that they [are] in the wrong hands [of] some bad guys, a hostile nation state, a terrorist, a criminal.”
Wray said the Chinese government has been trying to block investigations into the origins of the coronavirus.
His comments come after the Department of Energy recently assessed that COVID-19 was likely caused by an accidental lab leak in China.
The development was included in an update to a 2021 document made by the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’ office.
The National Intelligence Council, as well as four other government agencies, assess at “low confidence” that COVID-19 originated as a result of natural transmission from an infected animal. The CIA and other government agencies remain undecided on the issue.
There is a consensus between intelligence agencies that the pandemic wasn’t the result of a bioweapons program by China.
Republicans are calling for full transparency after Wray said COVID-19 likely leaked from a Chinese lab.
“Glad to see [FBI] Dir. Wray finally coming forward w/ info regarding their assessment that #COVID19 leaked from a #Wuhan laboratory,” Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., wrote on Twitter.
“I’ve been pushing for them to share this info with the American public for months but [the Office of the Director of National Intelligence] has been holding it back. WE NEED FULL TRANSPARENCY!” he added.
Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) agreed with Marshall’s call for transparency and said that Wray’s confirmation was stating the obvious. He said, of course, it was. Now declassify the intelligence and let the American people see the truth.”
“The FBI Director has confirmed what common sense has told us — COVID came from a Chinese lab. Never forget that the WHO and Communist China colluded to coverup (sic) Beijing’s deadly role in spreading this pandemic,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., told Fox News Digital.
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., added in a tweet: “FBI admits on Twitter what (20 months ago) FBI would have pressured Twitter to ban.”
Many people, politicians and personalities, were removed from social media platforms at the beginning of the pandemic. They were removed or given warnings for daring to suggest this very theory that COVID-19 was a lab leak.
