Elon Musk put $44 billion on the line to purchase the social media giant Twitter in an apparent effort to restore free speech to America.
Musk is not a conservative but did not see anything good coming out of silencing the opinions of the opposition.
Since his Twitter takeover, conservative accounts have been restored, users have been able to speak the truths like men can’t give birth, and the Twitter Files came out, showing collusion between Big Tech and the federal government to suppress stories.
Musk’s latest move on Twitter has some conservative users a bit upset and confused.
Musk hired Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO. Yaccarino was the chair of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal but also serves as executive chair at the globalist WEF and has since January 2019 according to her LinkedIn bio.
What has conservative Twitter users so concerned? Could it be her push to use equity-based hiring practices that prioritize things like race and gender?
Could it be her work on the COVID-19 vaccination campaign partnering with the White House and other government agencies?
Could it be her work at NBCU that advanced DEI-focused initiatives?
The night before divulging exactly who he hired, Musk put out a teaser:
“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO [chief technology officer], overseeing product, software & sysops.”
Musk then made the official announcement on Twitter today writing, “I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!
“@LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.”
Some of Twitter’s more prominent conservative voices weighed in on Musk’s choice.
Catturd tweeted:
“Elon Musk … the woke mind virus is a threat to the world.
Also Elon Musk … I just hired a far-left loon deeply infected with the woke mind virus to run Twitter.
Twitter 2.0 was fun while it lasted – get ready for it to suck again.”
Trump impersonator and podcast host Shawn Farash added:
“All that talk about the “Woke Mind Virus” and then you go ahead and hire someone as CEO of Twitter who is DEEPLY infected with said virus… Makes no sense. This looks like a HORRIBLE decision.”
Robby Starbuck wants to give her the benefit of the doubt, tweeting:
“I encourage everyone to give her a chance. She’s followed me
@libsoftiktok and @JackPosobiec for years. She may be more complex than her bio tells you. I understand being trepidatious about anyone who is associated with the WEF but let’s give her a chance. The WEF notoriously attaches itself to people who don’t know the dark side of the WEF’s vision by dangling the prospect of influencing very powerful people. Elon is very responsive to feedback so if things go the wrong direction I expect he’ll listen to the people of Twitter but I think we owe it to him to give her a chance. There’s obviously something he likes about her. I’ll reserve judgment until she gets to work! I try to be an optimist so I’m hoping that they make Twitter even better together.”
For Musk’s sake, the First Amendment, and the future of our country, let’s hope she stays true to Musk’s vision for the social media company.
