BOOM: The Jury Makes Their Decision, Joe Biden & Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice Suffers Major Blow As Jury Finds Trump Ally Not Guilty

Tom Barrack, an adviser to former President Donald Trump, was charged in July 2021 with illegal foreign lobbying on behalf of the United Arab Emirates.  

Federal prosecutors at the time called it an effort to influence the Trump 2016 campaign and administration concerning foreign policy positions. 

The seven-count indictment included charges accusing Barrack of acting as an agent of the UAE for two years beginning in April 2016, obstruction of justice, and making false statements to federal law enforcement agents. 

According to CNN reporting at the time of the charges in July 2021, Barrack and two other men, “Matthew Grimes of Aspen, Colorado, and Rashid Sultan Rashid Al Malik Alshahhi, a UAE national – capitalized on Barrack’s status as a senior outside adviser to the Trump campaign to ‘advance the interests of and provide intelligence to the UAE while simultaneously failing to notify the Attorney General that their actions were taken at the direction of senior UAE officials.'”

After three days of deliberations, the jury on the case returned a not-guilty verdict for Barrack and his assistant Matthew Grimes. 

Barrack was cleared of foreign agent charges as well as charges of obstruction of justice and making false statements. 

Grimes was acquitted of both charges against him which included acting as an unregistered foreign agent in the U.S. and conspiring to act as an unregistered foreign agent in the U.S.

The verdict was a big blow to the liberal narrative that Barrack and Grimes were a part of a diabolical plot involving the former president. 

During the trial, Barrack’s defense attorney, Randall Jackson, argued that his client had a connection with Al Malik Alshahhi through his business dealing and made no attempt to hide it. 

He also reminded the jury that at the time Trump had little chance of winning the presidency. How would it make sense that Al Malik Alshahhi would try to infiltrate the Trump campaign on the UAE’s behalf? 

Olivia Rubin, a journalist with ABC, called the verdict a “huge blow to federal prosecutors who had accused the billionaire businessman of improperly acting as a foreign agent on behalf of the UAE.” 

Trump’s longtime friend was thankful for the jury saying, “I’m so moved by them and the system.” He said he planned to go to the Statue of Liberty and have a drink to celebrate. 

He followed up with, “God bless America. The system is amazing.”

The trial lasted for six weeks and included five days of testimony from the defendant. Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin also testified in the case. 

Barrack had the backing of the former president who said that he was being “unfairly persecuted only because he is a supporter of ‘Trump'” on his social media platform, Truth Social. 

Trump celebrated the acquittal and called it “great news for our Country, Freedom, and Democracy.” He commended the jurors for their “courage and understanding in coming to an absolutely correct decision,” and said the verdicts for the two men “greatly set the Radical Left back.”
