Bombshell: IG For Afghanistan Reconstruction Discloses That American Taxpayers Dollars Are Flowing To Taliban Because Of Biden Administration

On Wednesday, Special Inspector General for the Reconstruction of Afghanistan, John Sopko, informed Congress that the American taxpayers money is flowing straight into the pockets of the Taliban.
Sopko made the shocking revelation in a House Oversight Committee hearing regarding the United States’ botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, carried out by the Biden administration.

Sopko stated:
“Unfortunately, as I sit here today, I cannot assure this committee or the American taxpayer we are not currently funding the Taliban. Nor can I assure you that the Taliban are not diverting the money we are sending from the intended recipients, which are the poor Afghan people.”
Sopko also highlighted the obstruction from the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Department of State had been “unprecedented” under the current administration.
He asserted that both of the agencies exhibited an “abject refusal to allow oversight” of the taxpayer money which was being sent to Afghanistan.
Sopko added:
“I don’t trust the Taliban as far as you can throw them. The information we’re getting — again, not from the State Department, who isn’t talking to us, or USAID — is the Taliban is already diverting funds.”
He continued:
“I would just say: I haven’t seen a starving Taliban fighter on TV, they all seem to be fat, dumb, and happy. I see a lot of starving Afghan children on TV, so I’m wondering where all this funding is going.”
The United States provided over $8 billion to Afghanistan since the disastrous withdrawal from August 2021, according to Sopko’s testimony.
