Biden “Is Frail”: Sean Hannity Calls For Invoking The 25th Amendment To Remove Biden From Power “This Country Should…”

Fox News host Sean Hannity is calling for Congress to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Joe Biden. The calls to remove the President come after a blunder-filled trip to the Middle East. 

The trip was filled with Biden’s missteps. Upon arrival in Israel, he commented it’s important to “bear witness” to the “honor of the Holocaust”. 

The Washington Post was upset with Biden’s fist bump with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Fred Ryan, the publisher, and CEO of The Post said it was “shameful” that Biden had fist-bumped the Saudi crown prince.

The fist bump was supposed to alleviate the pressure the President was receiving for meeting with the Crown Prince. He is accused of ordering the murder of Washington Post report Jamal Kashoggi. Biden met with him to beg for help with the growing energy crisis in the United States. 

Democrats are concerned about the President as well. Representative Adam Schiff posted “One fist pump is worth a thousand words,” Schiff said of Biden’s controversial warm greeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Invoking the 25th is starting to circulate on all sides. 

The 25th Amendment provides the procedures for replacing the President or vice president in the event of death, removal, resignation, or incapacitation. It was written after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. 

Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn into office after Kennedy’s death. He took over without clear direction or a definitive plan for who would take over if he were incapacitated. So, Congress passed the 25th Amendment in 1965. All states ratified it in 1967. 

The Amendment indicates the order in which the President is replaced. The Vice-President would succeed the President in case of death or inability to perform the job. After the VP, the order is Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore, Secretary of State, and the list goes on. 

It has been used several times since its ratification. The procedures laid out in the amendment were enacted after the Watergate scandal when Gerald Ford replaced Vice-President Spiro Agnew, Ford then replaced President Nixon then Nelson Rockefeller filled the vacant Vice Presidents position. 

President Reagan transferred power to Vice President George H. Bush just before he underwent emergency surgery in 1985. When Reagan went into surgery after being shot in 1981, there was confusion about who was in charge. 

Secretary of State Alexander Haig famously said he was in control when Reagan became incapacitated. The media took that out of context. They believed the Secretary did not know the order of succession but the truth was, the world was in chaos. Someone needed to take command.

Secretary Haig, at that moment, showed the world, someone was indeed in control. He had to do it since the Soviets were mobilizing troops to take advantage of the chaos within the Government. However, the media seized an opportunity to attack Haig whom they did not like.

Today, the media has the opposite viewpoint. They like Biden so they carry the Democrat party line. They ignore his and his family’s questionable financial activities. They will not attack him for his numerous mental and physical blunders that question whether or not he is fit for the job. 

Invoking the 25th Amendment needs careful consideration. After all, if Bidens replaced because of his fitness for the job, the President would be Kamala Harris. If she were deemed unfit because of her uncontrollable laughter and rambling, the nation then has President Pelosi.
