BIDEN GIVES AWAY AFGHANISTAN: China to initiate “friendship and cooperation” with Taliban following complete takeover

The Chinese Communist Party said it looks forward to continuing its “friendship and cooperation” with Afghanistan following the Taliban takeover, however they stopped short of recognizing them as legitimate rulers of the country.
This comes after sources claimed last week that Chinese military and intelligence assessments prompted leaders in Beijing to formalize the relationship with the Taliban (US News & World Report). The Taliban met with the Chinese government last month and then signaled its support and growing acceptance of Taliban takeover. The Taliban was able to take over the capital of Kabul on Sunday and the rush to evacuate the U.S. embassy.

Secretary Antony Blinken said in late July China’s role in Afghanistan could potentially be seen as a positive one. The ambassador of Afghanistan in Beijing reports Monday he has no plans to leave China to return to Afghanistan.
