Biden gets heckled at campaign event in Virginia
Biden was in Arlington, Virginia on Friday campaigning for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe where he was heckled by protestors. Biden stopped his speech to address the protestors and said- “That’s OK, that’s alright, let him talk, it’s not a Trump rally, let him holler, no one’s paying attention,”
Biden was campaigning for Terry McAuliffe, who previously served as Virginia’s governor from 2014 to 2018. He is now running against a Trump-backed candidate and Republican businessman Glenn Youngkin.

Recent polls show McAuliffe is leading over Youngkin with a very narrow four-point lead.
Around 3000 people attended this live event and the venue was more than half empty. At the same time, on YouTube less than 500 viewers were live watching at any given time.
Before he was interrupted by hecklers, moments into this speech, Biden was saying “Thank God the governor of Arkansas – excuse me, of Alabama – had one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country – is now, and I’m genuinely complimenting her”
According to a reporter from W7VOA, protesters showed up at this event and started shouting “Stop Line 3,” referring to the Enbridge pipeline project.
The Enbridge pipeline is an expansion that stretches from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin. The protesters, who are claimed to be environmentalists, demanded Biden to use his executive powers to suspend the construction of Enbridge Line 3 just like he did with the Keystone XL pipeline.
