On Monday, Representative Ilhan Omar sparked controversy by making a public call for a shift in U.S. policy towards Israel. She advocated for a transition from providing Israel with unquestioned military support to a more diplomatic approach.
Representative Omar, a prominent member of the group known as the “Squad,” also emphasized the challenges faced by the Palestinian population. She raised concerns about Israel’s response to the actions of the terrorist organization Hamas, suggesting that it might warrant examination for potential violations of international law.

Israel has been clearly favored in the general public, rightfully so. Israel has been defending the promise land and Hamas has gone to extreme standards to enforce their ideology.
It has been reported that Hamas has been killing babies and even beheading them.
To state that war crimes should be imposed upon Israel is absolutely ridiculous.
She defended her statement in a series of thread tweets on Twitter, “The Israeli Defense Minister has called Palestinians ‘human animals’ and promised to cut off all electricity, all food, and all fuel to civilians in Gaza,”
She continued, “This is collective punishment, a war crime, and the U.S. should oppose any violations of international law if we truly support a rules-based international order,”
She warned that the support of a military complex is not smart and believes that Americans should be careful of their support of Israel.
“Instead of continuing unconditional weapons sales and military aid to Israel, I urge the United States at long last to use its diplomatic might to push for peace,” she stated.
Many Americans have been extremely outraged by the comments especially after the death of hundreds and thousands of Israelis.
Do you think that Ilhan Omar is right in this assumption or do you think the support of Israel is warranted?
