Florida state Sen. Blaise Ingoglia, representing Florida’s 11th District, filed the “Ultimate Cancel Act” that would direct the Florida Division of Elections to “immediately cancel the filings of a political party, to include its registration and approved status as a political party, if the party’s platform has previously advocated for, or been in support of, slavery or involuntary servitude.”

Ingoglia’s proposal targets the Democrat party because of the party’s past pro-slavery positions.

Democrat state Sen. Geraldine Thompson wants to add an amendment to the bill. The amendment would ban any political party that has tried to suppress the voting rights of people, “thereby maintaining the last vestiges of slavery.”

She’s obviously trying to hold up the lie that Republicans are trying to keep people from voting because Democrats say that asking for ID is racist.

The fact is the belief that people of color can’t get an ID is racist!

Sen. Ingoglia turned it right around on Sen. Thompson. He said, “I wholeheartedly agree with Senator Thompson and I look forward to supporting this amendment in committee. As a matter of fact, I may even co-sponsor it,” Ingoglia said in a statement.

“Under Democrat leadership, Florida instituted a poll tax in 1885 that would stay in place for over 50 years. The idea of poll taxes and literacy tests is abhorrent, and yet the Democrats have not only endorsed these ideas, they passed these laws and enforced these atrocities for decades. Another great reason the Florida Democrat Party should be canceled.

Thompson tried to disparage Ingoglia saying, “Voters did not send us to Tallahassee to engage in sophomoric games.”

Ingoglia told Fox News, “I’ve watched leftist Democrats look to cancel people, places and things, tearing down monuments, changing names of buildings. But all of that was because of something that happened a couple hundred years ago, and a lot of it was tied to slavery.”

He said the bill will hold the Florida Democrat Party accountable because, as many people are never told, the Democrats are the party of slavery.

“Cancel culture dictates – no matter what you do now or what you say now – you basically have to pay for the sins of the past. So, the sins of the past in this instance is a Democrat Party that actually adopted pro-slavery positions in their party platform,” Ingoglia added.

Ingoglia explained how it would work. The Democrat Party would be decertified. Voters would automatically switch registration to “nonparty affiliated.”

There would be no interruption in voting. The new party would be able to contact those voters and ask them to join the newly formed party with a new name.

Ingoglia suggests the new party name should be Hypocrats because they have been so “hypocritical on this issue.”

“I think the Democrat Party of today doesn’t know what they stand for,” he said.

He says they are anti-parents and that any issue associated with the party is a problem in the country at large.

Podcaster Dan Bongino always says that “Republicans are not the answer to all of our problems, but Democrats are” surely the cause of all of them.

Nikki Fried, the Democrat party chair, characterized the measure as dictatorial.
