Breaking News: White House Justifies Joe Biden’s Visit To Ukraine Before Visiting The Ohio Train Disaster Site

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre justified President Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine and for still not making a visit to East Palestine, Ohio, to examine the extent of damages from a train derailment catastrophe.
East Palestine Mayor Trent Conway stated that Biden decided to visit Ukraine before visiting the affected city is like a “slap in the face”
A reporter questioned Jean-Pierre if President Biden would like to give any remarks to Mayor Conway’s statement.
Jean-Pierre stated that the agencies were “on the ground very early on” with an “all-hands approach.”
She added:
“That is because of this president’s leadership, and that is because of what he has asked his team to do and what he’s asked the agencies to do.”
She also explained that Biden was constantly in touch with officials in East Palestine to receive updates, while he was on his visit to Ukraine and Poland.
Jean-Pierre stated that Biden was “regularly in contact” with the Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, and the Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro.
However, it is still uncertain whether Biden was in contact with East Palestine Mayor Conway.
Earlier this week, Conway lambasted President Biden as he accused the president for abandoning domestic responsibilities and “giving away millions of dollars” to Ukraine during his visit.
During “Jesse Watters Primetime”, Conway was questioned about the federal response over the train derailment incident and Biden’s surprise visit to Ukraine, he replied:
“That was the biggest slap in the face. That tells you right now he doesn’t care about us. He can send every agency he wants to, but I found out this morning that he was in Ukraine giving millions of dollars away to people over there and not to us… on Presidents’ Day in our country, so I’m furious.”
