Billionaire Elon Musk has been generating press about thirteen different ways. Weather its his frivolous, but unquestionably funny, exchange with Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. Weather it was his insistence that the Department of Justice release the Epstein-Maxwell client lost. Or perhaps just the latest development in the already legendary saga of Mr. Musk and Twitter. Well, now there is an entertaining and public feud brewing between the richest man in the world and Congressman Adam Schiff.

It is now being reported by the Washington Examiner that:

Twitter chief Elon Musk slammed Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) brain size in a now-deleted tweet after the latter said Musk was not a “free speech absolutist” for temporarily suspending a handful of journalists from the platform.

“Thankfully, you lose your chairmanship very soon. Your brain is too small,” Musk tweeted Saturday, later deleting the message.

Musk’s remark about Schiff’s “chairmanship” refers to his role as chief lawmaker on the House Intelligence Committee. Republicans won back control of the House of Representatives in the November midterm elections, meaning that Schiff is losing his chairmanship to his Republican counterpart: Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Republicans have also pledged to strip Schiff of all his committee assignments in the next Congress.

The California Democrat’s original tweet, which is still up, was another critique of the billionaire Tesla founder.

The Washington Examiner went on to report that:

“Elon Musk calls himself a free speech absolutist, to justify turning a blind eye to hatred and bigotry on Twitter. But when journalists report unfavorable news, they are banned without warning,” the congressman wrote on social media. “The devotion to free speech is apparently not that absolute. But the hypocrisy is.”

When Schiff tweeted his Friday statement, Musk was already conducting a poll of Twitter users about whether to reinstate journalists who he alleged had violated Twitter’s doxxing rules, which prohibit posting real-time movements of a person.

Earlier last week, Musk had warned that he was taking doxxing very seriously after one of his youngest children had been stalked following real-time postings of his air traffic movements.

“Real-time posting of someone else’s location violates doxxing policy, but delayed posting of locations are ok,” Musk said on the platform on Wednesday.

It was further reported by The Hill that:

Schiff and Musk have critiqued each other for days as the Tesla CEO’s takeover of Twitter draws the ire of many liberals and civil rights groups, who have raised concerns about hate speech on the platform.

Schiff and another House Democrat earlier this month sent a letter to Musk, demanding answers about his content moderation strategy as they cited data suggesting the number of tweets containing slurs has grown exponentially since Musk’s takeover.

The Hill went on to report that:

“False, hate speech impressions are actually down by 1/3 for Twitter now vs prior to acquisition,” Musk responded to a Dec. 8 tweet by Schiff referencing the letter.

The Hill has reached out to Schiff’s office for comment..

With Republicans set to take control of the House, Schiff is poised to relinquish his chairmanship early next month.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who is attempting to secure the speakership, has vowed to boot Schiff from the Intelligence Committee entirely.

So, Elon Musk seems to be making friends all over. There has been quite a bombshell of an update just yesterday when Musk put up a poll on Twitter asking if he should step down as CEO which showed that 57.5% of respondents said that he should go. There are some alternatives potentially at play as well. Popular podcaster Lex Friedman threw his hat in the ring as someone who could run Twitter. Musk, for his part, noticed this and was anything but opposed. Follow The Raging Patriot for more on this story as it develops.
