There has been a decent amount of media attention given to the rift between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump.
Many have speculated that DeSantis is the only Republican who could pose a serious challenge to Trump in 2024.
This tension seems to have just reached a fevered pitch. Now, Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba issued a warning to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ahead of Trump’s comeback announcement on November 15 at Mar a Lago.

It is now being reported by RedState that:
Let’s be honest: Ron DeSantis has lived rent-free in Donald Trump’s head for more than a year. While Trump initially played nice when asked about DeSantis and 2024, the real Trump mocked the popular Florida governor during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, calling him: “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
Game on, America: Trump’s sophomoric election-cycle name-calling shtick has begun — bigly.
While rumors wildly swirled that Trump would finally make “The Big Announcement” during a Saturday night rally for Ohio Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance, the former president instead teased what will be an anticlimactic announcement at Mar-a-Lago on November 15.
RedState went on to report that:
Meanwhile, Trump lawyer Alina Habba said in an interview that DeSantis “needs to stay in Florida,” pending Trump’s announcement, as transcribed by the New York Post.
He needs to stay in Florida. Just stay where you are. You are doing a great job in Florida. Don’t jump the gun.
Habba then echoed Trump’s late September ill-advised but classic Trump boast that he “made” his former “great friend,” now “ungrateful” nationally-respected governor while repeating her admonishment:
DeSantis is DeSantis because of Trump. I think I like what DeSantis is doing in Florida, but he needs to stay in Florida. He’s not ready, yet.
Slay News went on to report that:
Meanwhile, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is urging Trump to announce as soon as possible: “To all the press texting & calling me: Trump should announce tonight.
“His candidates won the primaries.
“Biden’s central message was the ‘ULTRA MAGA’ scare.
“And we are going to win BIGLY! Trump deserves all the credit for this wave election & announcing tonight he will seize it.”
Trump is the clear favorite to win the GOP nomination.
Slay went on to report that:
He may be unopposed by a real candidate but could face a doomed protest candidate like Liz Cheney.
There is also the chance, however small, that Trump may face a real challenge from Ron DeSantis or another credible name.
“DeSantis is DeSantis because of Trump,” Habba said on Right Side Broadcasting Network.
“He needs to stay in Florida.
“Just stay where you are,” she said.
“You are doing a great job in Florida.
“Don’t jump the gun.
“He’s not ready yet.”
It has certainly been a good week for the Governor of Florida. In fact, The Raging Patriot reported just yesterday that Governor Ron DeSantis is setting the standard for republicans nationwide. He has officially won Florida by a massive margin. Gov. DeSantis has a massive lead and will win by over a couple million votes. DeSantis’ victory over former Rep. Charlie Crist — fueled by a massive cash advantage, political headwinds against Democrats like Crist and changing demographics in a reddening state — contrasted sharply with the governor’s election four years ago when he won by less than half a percentage point.
