GOP Prepares For Massive Fight Following Raid, ‘This Is Gestapo Crap And It Will Not Stand’ – Immediately Vow To ‘Cl…’
Following the FBI’s search of former President Trump’s house in Florida, Republicans are promising to gut the justice system in response.
Lauren Boebert, Colorado Republican: “This is Gestapo crap and it will not stand. The Department of Injustice needs to be cleaned out if they are going to start pretending we are some kind of banana republic.”
Paul Gosar, Arizona Republican: “I will support a complete dismantling and elimination of the democrat brown shirts known as the FBI. This is too much for our republic to withstand.”
The FBI raid comes as part of an ongoing investigation into whether Trump violated campaign finance laws during the 2016 election. While the exact details of the raid are still unknown, it’s clear that the GOP is not happy about the situation.
And, with the 2022 midterm elections on the horizon, this will likely be an issue that Republicans use to rally their base. So, don’t be surprised if you start hearing more and more about the “FBI raid” on the campaign trail.
The attack on President Trump’s mar-a-lago home was unprecedented. President Trump released a lengthy response to the raid on Truth Social:
“It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections,
“Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those countries, corrupt at a level not seen before,
“What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democratic National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.”

While speaking to Fox News, Pennsylvania GOP Rep. Scott Perry said the FBI took his cellphone one day after delivering a warrant and requesting that he turn over his phone to the agents at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club in Florida.
Perry said he was not given any explanation for why the FBI wanted his phone and that he plans to fight the request in court.
The news of the raid comes as Trump faces increasing legal trouble. Last week, prosecutors in New York released a damning report detailing how Trump allegedly paid hush money to two women with whom he had affairs. And on Monday, the Supreme Court rejected Trump’s attempt to block a subpoena for his tax records.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has accused the Justice Department of targeting him with “witch hunts.”
Trump has railed against the investigations, calling them a “witch hunt” and a “hoax.”
It is not clear what exactly the FBI is investigating, but Perry’s phone could contain information that would be relevant to the probe.
