Major Win For GOP As Arizona AG Launches “Formal Investigation” Into 2020 Election

It was reported by ConservativeBrief earlier today that Arizona Republican Senate President Karen Fann announced this week that the state’s Attorney General Mark Brnovich has opened up a “formal investigation” into the 2020 presidential election.

During an interview on “The Conservative Circus,” Fann said Brnovich is investigating Maricopa County election officials’ conduct and handling of ballots following the election audit in Arizona’s largest county.

“They admitted in Congress that, actually, they said that they had to delete them to make room for an upcoming election,” she continued. “However, congressmen then pointed out that there were still elections on the server from previous – before 2020, and they couldn’t explain why that was.”

“When they said, ‘don’t worry, the deleted files are on a backup archive,’ and Congressman Biggs said ‘did you turn that over to the auditors in the Senate’? they said, ‘well, no, they didn’t subpoena our backup archives. So, this is the stuff we have been putting up from day one,” Fann said, adding “our audit was pretty darn good, and we’re not done yet,” she said.

Last month, Brnovich confirmed that his office will continue to investigate allegations of election fraud in the 2020 election.

Brnovich asked Maricopa County to preserve materials related to the 2020 election for an investigation and possible litigation over how the county-administered the contest.

“The Arizona Senate’s report that was released on Friday raises some serious questions regarding the 2020 election. Arizonans can be assured our office will conduct a thorough review of the information we receive,” Brnovich said.

Brnovich pledged to take “all necessary actions that are supported by the evidence and where I have legal authority.”

Brnovich argued that it’s time to fight right now.

“It’s high noon. There’s so much crap going on,” Brnovich said, noting that the state’s currently fighting back against Democrats on issues ranging from federalized elections, mask mandates, immigration, critical race theory, and 2020 election audits.Advertisement

Brnovich, the leading GOP Senate primary candidate poised to challenge Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly next year, is leading the election reform fight.

“I am kind of the straw that stirs the drink,” he said.
