It has been reported earlier today that on “Tuesday, the Texas County that was forced to harbor thousands of illegal immigrants under its international bridge voted unanimously to launch a lawsuit against President Joe Biden and asked other Texas border counties to join them.” The county commissioners of Val Verde County, Texas, voted unanimously to launch a lawsuit against Biden. Val Verde County “witnessed the flood of 30,000 migrants earlier this month,” Fox News noted.
It was reported by Townhall that … “Border Patrol facilities were already over capacity, they had to place the illegal immigrants underneath the international bridge, resulting in third-world conditions while temperatures continued to reach 100 degrees every day.
The makeshift camp is now empty after the Department of Homeland Security released most of the illegal immigrants with notices to appear in court to start the asylum-seeking process. A few thousand were deported to Haiti, though many of the Haitians had been living in countries in South America after fleeing Haiti years earlier.
“We’ve talked about immigration reform for as long as I can remember. Both parties have had control of Washington at one point or another over the last 20 years, and we have failed to do anything about it other than create the mess that we have today,” said Val Verde County Commissioner Beau Nettleton.
“It’s time that we get together with other counties and cities along the border and stand up and do something.”
Their concern and outrage is more than justified and further buoyed by another Townhall piece that reports further on just how bad the situation at the border is getting.
The current border crisis has been ongoing since the start of the Biden administration and having been to various parts of the U.S.-Mexico border, I can say it appears there is no end in sight. On top of the unrelenting flow of people and drugs, it could get much worse, so much so that even the mainstream media is starting to notice the glaring problem again.
NBC News reported as many as 400,000 illegal immigrants could cross over into the United States in the month of October, which is double of the already record-high encounters in June, July, and August, with each month reaching over 200,000 encounters along the southern border. The summer month’s numbers do not include the illegal aliens who were able to avoid apprehension by Border Patrol, with officials estimating those numbers are also at all-time highs.
