It must be exhausting being Kamala Harris. When she isn’t busy not doing anything about Afghanistan, she has to be busy not doing anything about the border. She clearly needs assistance.
According to Reuters, Vice President Kamala Harris has hired two new advisers at a time when she is leading the charge for the Biden administration on a number of issues including voting rights and immigration from Central America.
Lorraine Voles and Adam Frankel who worked with Harris during the transition, have joined the team and will focus on strategic communications, long-term planning and organizational development, a White House official with knowledge of the matter said.
The two advisers began their new roles in August and will serve only temporarily in the White House, the official said, without specifying how long they will stay.
ConservativeBrief expounded on the official statement “Their experience has been and will continue to be a valuable resource for our whole team, as we v and fulfill the administration’s ambitious policy agenda,” the official told Reuters.
“Voles is a public relations and crisis communications expert and Frankel worked as a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama,” the newswire added.
Speculation about Harris taking on an outsized policy role actually began in March, when the White House made an unprecedented announcement — that instead of the ‘the Biden administration,’ government agencies would be directed to use the phrase ‘Biden-Harris administration.’
The move was aimed at raising the status of Harris, according to a federal employee who shared an email with Outspoken in late March.
“Please be sure to reference the current administration as the ‘Biden-Harris Administration’ in official public communications,” the email said, with “Biden-Harris Administration” in bold letters.
“Big news: The Biden-Harris Administration set a new record this weekend with 6 million shots reported administered. We’re ramping up vaccination efforts every day to get America vaccinated quickly and equitably,” a subsequent tweet from the White House noted.
