White House condemns BIDEN POLICY of border guards using whip-like cord against illegal migrants

Photos surfaced of Border Patrol agents on horseback allegedly using whip-like cords on Hatians entering the U.S. illegally in Del Rio, Texas; some members of the Biden administration have responded.

After photos were circulated over the weekend showing U.S. Border Patrol officers on horseback and seemingly charging Haitian migrants, there have been a couple of responses to the photos and videos coming from the White House. On Tuesday morning, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas responded (Tuscan). Speaking to Brianne Keilar of CNN’s “New Day”. Mayorkas said, “I was horrified by what I saw. I’m going to let the investigation run its course. But the pictures that I observed troubled me profoundly. That defies all of the values that we seek to instill in our people.”

Press Secretary Jen Psaki was also asked about it during a press briefing. A reporter asked, “Does the administration view [border agents on horseback using what appeared to be whips] as an appropriate tactic?  Can you speak to that?” (White House). Psaki responded: “I’ve seen some of the footage.  I don’t have the full context. I can’t imagine what context would make that appropriate.  But I don’t have additional details.”

She was asked more questions about the consequences Border Patrol would face or what the Biden Administration is doing about it. Her responses were repetitive in saying that the footage was horrible and she had no information about what would happen.

An AlJazeera reporter tweeted a video with the words, “This is why your country’s s–t, because you use your women for this!” — mounted Border Patrol officer to Haitian migrant he was riding down, as he sheltered with his family.”

The video shows Border Patrol officers trying to block Hatians coming out of the river and telling them to turn around. The Hatian migrants are reportedly camping under and around the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas in hopes of being considered for asylum.
