BREAKING: Former VP Mike Pence reportedly prepping for 2024 PRESIDENTIAL RUN amid rocky headlines about relationship with Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence reportedly preparing for a potential 2024 presidential run as he adds more staffers to his team in his brand-new office in downtown Washington.

CNN reports that Pence’s relationship with former President Donald Trump is as rocky as ever. Earlier this week Trump made the statement to Pence saying, “I don’t want to be your friend anymore.” Their last known conversation was over the phone back in April when Trump wished Pence well as he recovered from heart surgery.

However, Pence seems to be leaving the former President behind. He is not waiting for the former President to make a decision on another run for office but is moving forward without him. “Mike is going to look at this and say, ‘Where am I being called to serve?’” said those close to Pence. “That’s not going to be thwarted by any man or woman. If he feels called to do this, it’s not going to be because of who else is in the race.”

With the additional people Pence has added to his staff, he has shown he is not tip-toeing around Trump’s plans but going forward with his own plans for a 2024 presidential run. He has also added Joh Fogarty, a top Republican fundraiser to his team, and created a new office space for his non-profit organization, Advancing American Freedom. Other potential GOP candidates have stated they wouldn’t run for office is Trump does, some suggesting it, and others announcing it publicly.

“I think Pence is doing what he can: saying the right things, defining himself as himself and not as Trump’s surrogate, and helping others,” said Erick Erickson, conservative radio host. “But he’s kind of like a jet trying to land with a storm over the airport. He’s in a holding pattern until Trump decides.”
