There are times where it really does seem that a sort of moral anesthesia is coursing through the veins of the Biden administration.
This isn’t the rather sedated and laconic nastiness that would permeate the Trump administration and take the form of a rude tweet or a less-than-admirable public comment.
The extent of the nastiness-nothingness paradigm has been far-reaching with the Biden administration. The latest example of this takes the risible form of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
As TrendingPolitics.com reports, During a press conference on Monday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki invoked President Joe Biden’s dead children to excuse his botched drone strike which killed 10 people including 7 children.
“Following up on the drone strike…” started one reporter. “What was the president’s response when he learned about that?” “Well the president was briefed, on Friday morning uhm, about the report that was going to be uh released and put out,” Psaki stumbled. “I would at first the president’s, view and all of our views are that the loss of any civilian life is a tragedy. As was made clear in the comments by the secretary of defense by General McKenzie, this was done in error and clearly uh the investigation that will continue is something that president broadly supports.”.
FoxNews went on to report that Psaki invoked the death of Biden’s son, Beau, saying “As a human being, as a president, and as somebody who has overseen loss in a variety of scenarios, both as a leader and personally, his reaction is it’s a tragedy, and every loss is a tragedy, and he supports the effort to move this forward as quickly as possible and to have a thorough investigation,” Psaki said to a reporter after being asked what Biden’s reaction was upon hearing of the failed strike.
The strike, intended to target ISIS-K terrorists following last month’s terror attack that killed 13 U.S. service members in Kabul, instead killed seven children, among other innocent victims.
