Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz on Thursday blasted the Biden administration for the failed border policy that has created this uncontrollable “manmade” crisis.
Senator Cruz was recently near the Del Rio underpass near the Texas-Mexico border where around 10,000 illegal migrants mostly from Haiti are waiting to be processed by border patrol.
“Today, it’s September 16, eight days later, and 700 people have grown to 10,500 because the word has gone out if you’re from Haiti, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have said, ‘We have open borders, come to Del Rio, and they will let you in,’ “It’s a political decision that Joe Biden could end tonight by simply following the law and saying we’re going to send people back to Haiti, which is what federal immigration law requires,” Cruz told Fox News
“It is the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen. There are right now, as we’re speaking, there are 10,503 people under that bridge. It is packed in as a mass of humanity, they take your breath away because it just goes on and on and on – infants, little children, people struggling enormously, and something stunning that I discovered today is I discovered the cause of why this is happening.” he added.
Soon after Fox News released this drone footage that revealed the horrific condition at this site, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) banned flying drones in the area because as they claim, news drones are “interfering with law enforcement flights on the border”
“The Border Patrol requested the temporary flight restriction due to drones interfering with law enforcement flights on the border. As with any temporary flight restriction, media is able to call the FAA to make requests to operate in the area,” FAA mentioned in a statement.
Texas Republican Representative Chip Roy also called out the Biden administration and even Texas State leadership and Governor Gregg Abbott for not taking control of this crisis.
“Now, Democrats are allowing this mess to occur in Del Rio where we’ve got ten thousand Haitians with many more on the way … all while we’ve got thousands in McAllen, all while fentanyl is pouring across our border, and killing Americans, ninety-something thousand — a hundred thousand — dying from opioid poisoning, not overdoses, Tucker, poisoning. This is happening right now and this president does not care,” Rep. Roy told Tucker Carlson on Fox News
