DeSantis DESTROYS Biden after WH announcement saying states CAN’T block federal funds for schools that mandate masks

States can not block federal funding to schools that choose to place mask mandates on students, according to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, Cardona said, “We have to do everything in our power to keep them safe. I spoke to the superintendents of those two communities and I let them know that we have their back. And yes, they can draw down on the funds that were promised to them so they can safely reopen schools.”

Continuing, he clarified the access to federal aid, “There is no need to get the green light from the governor to use these funds.” His statement comes after Governors, including Greg Abbott of Texas and Ron DeSantis of Florida, took measures to ban mask mandates and limit funding to schools that defy state COVID-19 policies.

Other states that have banned mask mandates in schools include Arizona, Oklahoma, Iowa, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah. The measures do not prohibit students from wearing a mask, rather it leaves the decision to parents and their children.
