Afghanistan. The southern border. Vaccine mandates. Lack of visibility with the press.
These are all reasons that more people disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as President than approve.
The most telling of all the numbers is that 51% of Americans believe that someone else is calling the shots that impact our nation. Only 39% believe Joe is at the wheel.
Both of those numbers are disturbing.
The Rasmussen Reports poll asked, “Is Joe Biden really doing the job of president, or are others making the decisions for him behind the scenes?”
If the simple majority of us are correct and Biden is not in charge of administering this nation domestically and abroad, then who is? It certainly would not be someone with the authority to do so. Given that Joe Biden was sworn in as the President, no one else should be governing in his place.
Recent polling also indicates that fewer people (46%) now believe that Biden is physically or mentally “up to the job.” 52% say that aren’t confident, with 41% indicating that their level of confidence is at zero.
While there are many reasons to doubt the efficacy of this president, the fiasco that is the Afghanistan withdrawal could be the proverbial nail in the coffin for this administration.
While 49% of those polled agreed with the withdrawal, only 38% (Democrats) and 14% (Republicans) say it is the process is going well.
We must assume that those people do not own a phone, TV, or radio, and likely do not read a newspaper or talk to other human beings on a regular basis.
