The Second Amendment to the Constitution states “A well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. For anyone who has never actually read the second amendment, the words “shall not be infringed” are as clear as it gets with no room for interpretation.

The founding fathers knew of the dangers of surrendering your right to bear arms to a tyrannical government, and knew the only way for Americans to protect their freedoms was to be armed.

For anyone saying that was because they only had muskets, that is also a very ignorant statement. In 1776, the Puckle gun was capable of shooting 63 shots in a 7 min span, or 9 shots per minute.

That being said, any legislation that limits the American people’s right to bear arms is unconstitutional, the only way any form of legislation could be constitutional would be by amending the constitution.

Since there is no amendment to the constitution limiting the right to bear arms, should President Trump sign an executive order removing all unconstitutional anti-gun legislation? Vote now in our poll above!
